「Spring Sunshine Cascade」
〜 枝から溢れる、春の日差しをイメージした可愛いらしいミモザのガーランド 〜

みなさま、こんにちは。サリーです。
まだまだ寒い日が続いていますが、負けないように、明るく、元気な花たちよりパワーをもらいましょう！
今回は、誰もが大好きなミモザをメインに、可愛らしいガーランドを作りたいと思います。
ミモザには、ふわふわな満開の花もあれば、すぐに咲きそうな蕾、まだまだ固い蕾と葉があります。それぞれを強調するように分けてデザインしてみました。所々、黄色いバラも足しています。ミモザの甘い香りを楽しみながら作りましょう！ガーランドを吊るしている枝も可愛いポイントになっています。
お部屋の壁やドアの華やかなアクセントに是非どうぞ！ドライになりますので、数ヶ月お楽しみいただけます。

Hello everyone,
The days are still cold, so why not get a power charge from some bright and lively flowers!
For this lesson we will make a delightful garland using mainly highly popular mimosa flowers.
If you look closely, there are fluffy flowers in full bloom, buds about to burst into bloom, tightly closed buds and leaves. This design separates the different parts to better highlight each, with yellow roses dotted here and there. You will surely enjoy the sweet fragrance of the mimosa as you are working! The branch the garland is hung from also adds a pretty touch.
This design will make a lively feature for your wall or door and as it dries well it can also be enjoyed for several months afterwards.

「The Bulb Garden」
〜 冬の庭をイメージした可愛らしい球根アレンジ 〜
A charming arrangement of bulbs inspired by a winter garden
みなさま、こんにちは。サリーです。
2018年中、たくさんの方にお世話になりました。毎回レッスンに参加してくださって方、本当にありがとうございました！みなさまのおかげでとても楽しい一年になりました。
2019年も多彩なレッスンを企画していますので、 どうぞよろしくお願いします！
工作多めのクリスマスとお正月のレッスンが続いていましたので、2019年の初レッスンは単純にお花をいけることを楽しんでいただけるデザインにしてみました。（簡単ですよ！簡単！その言葉を信じるかどうかはみなさまにお任せします！）
冬の庭。溶け始めた霜。地面に落ちた枯れ枝や枯れ葉の間から少しずつ顔を出してくる可愛らしい球根たち。このような風景を想像しながら、お皿の上に小さな庭を作りましょう！
お部屋で楽しんでいただいた後は、球根たちを植えて、翌年に庭やバルコニーでお楽しみください！

A big thank you to everyone that attended lesson after lesson during 2018. Thanks to everyone’s support, it was certainly a fun year! I’ve got lots more diverse workshops planned for 2019, so here’s looking forward to welcoming you to those as well!
Since the Xmas and New Year lessons involved lots of fiddly detail, for the first lesson of 2019, I thought it would be nice to simply enjoy arranging flowers! (Very simple, honest!! Whether you believe that or not though is up to you!!)
Picture if you will the winter garden … frost starting to thaw; pretty bulbs starting to push up their heads amongst the fallen branches and dry leaves on the ground. This is the scene we will recreate in miniature on a plate!
Once you’ve finished with the arrangement indoors, the bulbs can be planted and enjoyed in in the garden or on the balcony the following year as well!

「New Year Obi」
〜 帯に見立てたエレガントなお正月飾り 〜
An elegant New Year decoration resembling a Japanese ‘obi’ sash
みなさま、こんにちは。サリーです。
今年はもう後一月ですよ。年々ときの流れが早くなっている気がします。（怖い！！）
そろそろお正月の準備に突入する方が多いのではないでしょうか？
…ということで、今回のレッスンはお正月飾りを作りたいと思います。
今年はシンプル＆エレガントをテーマに、帯に見立てた、しかもツーウェイでお楽しみいただけるデザインにしてみました。
ベースとなる漆紙を折り畳んで「帯」を作り、中に松や高級感のあるランをいけます。
フックをつければ、ドアや壁に飾っていただけます。広げてお使いになれば、オシャレなテーブルアレンジに早変わり！
帯の紐やタッセルは数色からお選びいただけます。
※写真はイメージです。仕入れの状況によりランの種類や色が変わる場合が予想されます。予めご了承ください。

It’s hard to believe but there’s only a month left to the end of the year! Frighteningly, time flies more quickly each year, or at least that’s what it seems to me!
I’m sure many of you are already starting to think about preparations for New Year.
So with that in mind, for this lesson we’ll make a New Year decoration.
This year’s theme is ‘simple and elegant’ so we’ll make a 2-way decoration resembling a Japanese kimono ‘obi’ (sash).
Folded ‘shikkui’ paper forms the base into which we’ll arrange pine and orchids for a feel of luxury.
Add a hook and the decoration can be hung on the door or wall. Alternatively, spread it out and it morphs into a stylish table arrangement.
You can choose from a selection of colours for the obi cord and tassels.

〜 クリスマスの伝統色でまとめた、スタイリッシュなオーバルリース 〜
A stylish oval wreath in the traditional colours of Xmas
みなさま、こんにちは。サリーです。
間も無く街は本格的なクリスマスシーズンに突入します。年々早くなっている気がしますが、大好きなクリスマスの植物をより長く楽しめるのは嬉しいことですね！
…ということで、今回のレッスンはクリスマスまでに飾っていただけるフレッシュリースを作りたいと思います。
今年は、伝統色のグリーン・赤・ゴールドでまとめてみましたが、一味違う、スタイリッシュなオーバル形（楕円形）に作ります。赤い実ものや木の実を内側に集めて、そのオーバルの形をより強調しています。アクセントに、自然の枝やリボンを足して仕上げていきます。
縦・横、どちらでも飾っていただけます。

Hello everyone,
Yes, it’s almost that time of year when the towns get into the full swing of the Xmas season! It seems to get earlier each year, but I personally don’t mind as it gives more time to enjoy the lovely plants available at Xmas!
So, with that in mind, for this lesson we will make a fresh wreath that can be enjoyed through to Xmas.
This year I’ve gone with the traditional Xmas colours of green, red and gold, but for a change we’ll make the wreath in a stylish oval shape. The red berries and other nuts gathered around the inside of the wreath accentuate the oval shape. Natural branches and ribbon provide the finishing touches.
The wreath can be enjoyed both portrait and landscape.

「A Ball of Berries
〜 秋の実ものが詰まった、とても可愛らしいふわふわなまんまるアレンジ 〜
A charming fluffy ball arrangement packed full of autumn berries
みなさま、こんにちは。サリーです。
朝晩が涼しくなって、少しずつ紅葉が始まります。公園の所々で木の実が転がったり、バラの枝に実が色づいたりして… 大好きな季節、秋ですね〜
今回のレッスンではそのような小さな秋の世界を優しく包み込んだアレンジメントを作ります。
ふわふわで気持ち良さそうなボール状のベースを不織布で作り、お好きなリボンなどで飾りつけていただきます。
出来上がったベースの中に、秋色満載のバラや様々な実ものたちを、まんまるの形を完成するようにデザインしていきます。
飾る角度を多少変えられることも、まんまるのアレンジならでは楽しみ方です。

I hope you are keeping well as the season starts to change.
Mornings and evenings are getting cooler and the leaves on the trees begin to change colour. In the parks, fruit and nuts fallen from the trees roll on the ground, rosehips begin to ripen on the branches.... Yes, it’s autumn, one of my favourite seasons!
For this lesson we will make an arrangement that seems to softly envelop just such a tiny autumn world.
After making a ball-shaped base using quilting, you can decorate it with your choice of ribbon.
Roses and various types of berries in a range of autumn colours are then arranged in the base to complete the spherical shape.
And since it is a ball-shaped arrangement, why not enjoy different looks by slightly adjusting the display angle?
