〜 自然を瓶の中に閉じ込めた、新感覚のインテリアフラワー 〜
“Nature in a bottle”, the latest thing in interior flower decorations
みなさま、こんにちは。サリーです。
夏休みは、楽しく過ごせましたでしょうか。
久しぶりのレッスンですが、今月は、大人気のおしゃれなインテリア、ハーバリウムを一緒に作りませんか。
綺麗なボトルに入ったドライフラワーやプリザーブドフラワーを専用液に浸けることで、みずみずしく変身し、数ヶ月から１年長く楽しむことができます。しかもお手入れ不要！ また、光の当たり具合や花、色の組み合わせによって、豊かな表情で魅せてくれるのも人気の理由なんでしょうね〜
レッスンでは、好きな花材の組み合わせでハーバリウム２個（高さ約13cm）を作っていただきます。
ご自身のお部屋飾りとしてはもちろん、ギフトにも喜ばれると思いますよ。

Hello everyone,
I hope you had a good summer break.
It’s a while since the last lesson, but why not join us this month in making some hugely popular interior herbariums!
Specialist liquid added to bottled dry and preserved flowers gives the flowers a kind of fresh look and enables them to be enjoyed over a long period of time. What’s more, there’s no special care required either! The varied attractiveness from the way the light strikes the bottle and the combination of flowers and colours themselves are also likely reasons for herbariums’ popularity.
For the lesson, we will make two herbariums (~13cm tall), using your own choice of floral materials.
For sure these will make a lovely addition to your own decor but no doubt they will also be highly appreciated as gifts.

「Green & Green」
〜 葉・花・実物・野菜、様々なグリーンの植物で作る、２つの顔を持つアレンジメント 〜
A 2-in-1 arrangement using leaves, flowers, berries and vegetables
in various shades of green
みなさま、こんにちは。サリーです。
まだ天気が変わりやすいのですが、日に日に蒸し暑くなってきましたね。毎年この時期になると、どうしても爽やかな色を使いたくなります。
… ということで、今月のレッスンは、グリーン一色でアレンジを作りたいと思います。
グリーン一色と言っても、様々なグリーンがありますよね。濃いグリーン、薄いグリーン、黄緑、グレーがかかったグリーンなどなど。そのグリーンのバリエーションを楽しんでいただくのと同時に、様々な質感の花材を使って、デザインに面白さを更に加えましょう。
今回のアレンジは、両面から見たとき、表と反対側の顔に違った表情をデザインしていきます。鏡の前に飾ったり、空間を仕切ったりするのにぴったりです。見本は、片側にキッチンガーデンのように、食べ物っぽい花材をデザインし、反対側に存在感抜群の花材とやさしい、ふわふわな花を、あえて合わせてみましたが、みなさまの創造力を発揮しやすいテーマですので、どんな「顔」が出来上がるのが楽しみです！

The weather is still changeable but it is getting hotter and more humid day by day. Around this time of year, I always want to use colours that feel refreshing.
… so, for this month’s lesson we will make a green arrangement.
But when we say just ‘green’, there are in fact a wide variety of greens … dark green, light green, lime green, greyish green etc. etc. So we will enjoy this variety of green colours and at the same time incorporate floral materials of different textures to add more interest to our composition.
For this arrangement, we will give each face a different expression when viewed from the front and back. So it is perfect for displaying in front of a mirror or to divide a space. In the sample, I have used edible-looking materials on one side and on the other intentionally combined bold materials with soft and dainty flowers, but it is a great topic for participants to really express their own creativity, so I look forward to seeing the kinds of ‘faces’ everyone creates!

「Summer Parasol」
〜 パラソルを見立てた、スタイリッシュな花束 〜
A stylish bouquet in the form of a parasol.
みなさま、こんにちは。サリーです。
この間、収納スペースの奥を探っていたら、
何年か前のイベントディスプレーのために
イギリスから取り寄せたアンティークレース風の日傘が出てきました。
それを見て、去年のレッスンに登場したパラソル風花束を思い出しました。
紫外線対策としての効果はともかく：〜）、おかげさまで、
この花束は人気を呼んでいて、
「また作りたい！」という声がたくさん寄せられました。
そんなご希望にお応えしたくて、今年もレッスン開催します！
今回のパラソルのテーマカラーに選んだのは、大好きな紫、グリーンと白です。
爽やかで初夏にぴったりになると思います。
スパイラル（らせん状）に束ねながら、こんもりとまとめた花を、
プリーツ状の大きな葉で包み、パラソルの形を作っていきます。
つるやしなやかな枝で飾り付けて、ナチュラルに仕上げましょう。
